Hi! My name is Peirong Gao and I’m a junior at Chamblee High School in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been learning German since 4th grade and not only enjoy exploring Germany’s language but also its culture. Thus, I’ve had the privilege of attending the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program as a German major, participating in art competitions hosted by Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta, and playing music for various German events. Outside of German, I enjoy dancing with my family, playing violin and piano, singing with my friends, and painting.

I believe that spreading cultural awareness significantly reduces ignorance and discrimination within our society. Through SYGEA’s unique events and programs, I am confident that we can do exactly that.
